Very cool and very nice work, thanks for the photos. How many days did it take to fabricate the frame? The workmanship was outstanding.

Why is there a dog photo?

That's Ty's dog Shiso. And that's my kids RC car. We played with the dog all morning while Ty built up his bike.

Here's some photo highlights.

Tony said it takes him something like 25 hours from start to finish- including lunch breaks and stuff. I don't think that included the fork- another 6 hours or so.

Ok, thanks everyone for looking. I'm out the door now to get this thing muddy.... :)

Nice Steel

At least it looks like steel. I'm pretty loyal to Dale S but I can definitely say that I wouldn't mind owning one of those. Very pretty.

Woah that is one nice machine.

Who is the builder, cannot make it out?
The builder is Jeep.

Isn't that front brake cable routing genius??

It was nice bumping into you at Skeggs today Ty. Congrats on your new bike! Nice job!
Yeah, you too. Hope you guys had a good ride. It was nice today in Skeggs huh? I want to see pictures from Vietman. Maybe you should post some of them.... ;)

Hey Vince, she's steel alright. I am now the owner of two really nice hand built steel bikes (Pegoretti and Pereira). Maybe next a cross bike? Who is Dale S?

So, about these Jeep bikes, I just went to their website (http://jeepbikes.cyclesg.com/) and it looks like Ford Bikes is buying them out! Glad I got one while it was still a Jeep. Now I can put one of those "its a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand" stickers on the downtube.

Dale Saso is the one of the few (besides Pereira) steel custom frame builders in the San Jose area. Those guys should talk, they might be able to give each other a few ideas. His number is 408-926-0183. I have had two of his bikes and they were just the sweetest ride, as well as looking good. I'm ordering another, a loaded touring bike that will double as a cross bike next spring.

that's like a 71?
Yes! You have a good eye. It's a total custom truck, from engine to paint. MY son is 16 and he has saved up for it, and we lent him a little but. I think he is foking crazy, but I made the same kind of mistake on a custom, tricked out, 240z 31 years ago:madman:

Holy 240 Z!

I had a 72' 240Z and spent a ton on it and of course ended up selling it for way less. What an awesome car- just wish I had kept it. I always tell younger guys not to spend it on that stuff but I also realize that I did and people told me not to but I did anyway. So I know that they will also. Man mine was fast and handled like a dream! Just had to keep my feet up so they didn't fall through the rusting floor boards.:)
