Two shock mounts on ram 2.0?

My friend and I were looking at his ram 2 and noticed that theres another hole next to where his shock is mounted. It looks like it would give it more travel. Wha'ts it for?

80-100mm of travel

The wholes are there if you want to move your travel from 80mm to 100mm of travel.
