Temps were in the upper 60's today & the trails are starting to get good, so FINALLY went out for a little lunch ride on the 2011 Spot. Replaced a few parts since last time, prettied her up a bit & got it down to 31lbs 5 oz, purrrfect. Also pinched a little upgrade off someones work bench last night, which was a PLUS on this ride

Can't wait for the next ride, I love this bike & set up, 66.5 HA & 13.7 BB seem to fit me perfect :D

looks great inkpad, very nice build. i too am curious about your thoughts on the Plus RC3. i have a RT-AM showing shortly to complete my build. question, what is your actual axle to crown measurement, if you don't mind. i have my cane creek headset installed, with the external lower cup. i am using a float converted Talas reduced down to 150mm. just trying to figure what my head angle will be. might have to swap out the lower cup for a flush. my axle to crown measures 538mm. any help would be appreciated.

Hey all,

Having only 1 ride so far on the PLUS, my 1st impressions are:

Very good bottom out control, even with compression full open I was able to hit some good ledges & high speed drops without fully bottoming out the shock, which, for an air shock, is very impressive. Dare I say, very similar feel to the MX Tune, which says a ton about the shock. My set up, 170 lbs in shock, 210 lbs with gear rider.

Small bump sensitivity is also pretty spot on, only slightly giving up plushness on the MX shock, though I'm sure PUSH will have this spot on, as Darren mentioned, this is only a test sample, & nowhere near an actual finished product.

The stock, 3 click compression settings are about as easy to use as can be, & at each setting you can really feel the difference. I ran it mostly full open, just to see if I could bottom it & how the small bump would perform, but did take a couple runs at full closed, which even at this setting, felt pretty damn good, only downside I felt was when pre-loading & popping over rocks it tended to pop the rear up a bit, though if I compensated for this I'm sure it would have felt a bit more stable. On another PLUS side, a little birdy told me there may be some fun changes to this set-up;)

And finally, the weight, as was mentioned, is over a half pound lighter than the MX shock, which, if I can get the same performance out of the PLUS, I am sold.

& Reny, he ain't getting this one back : )
