Thought I'd get a ride in BEFORE the big meal on Turkey Day.
Tried to ride the access road to the top of Mt. Sunapee Ski Area. Got to the base of the snowbowl and had to give it up. The trail was too steep and snowy to maintain traction.
Had fun trying though. At least the snowmaking crews on ATV's got a chuckle out of seeing me. Here's a couple of pics...

Looks like fun.
I also had a pre-gluttony snow ride over in Canterbury/Northfield that day... the 4-6" was about all that I could handle without the trail being packed abit.

try lowering tire pressure

I took off not knowing my pressure was low in the rear tire, but I found it helped with the traction. As you can see, I only had 2" of snow to deal with, not 4-6". But I'll keep this mistake in mind for my next snowride.

If Loon is not open this weekend, it looks like I'll be doing another ride somewhere in the whites on Saturday. Gotta do something before ski season starts!
