Day 1- Drove through the fog which cleared up around closer to Twin Falls than Mountain Home. Around Provo, Utah State Police nabbed me on instant radar (the V1 had no chance) going 98 on a 75... Not a good start to the trip... Got to Moab around 130pm, hiked with the dog around Klondike then took SJ to Slickrock... This is what the inversion does to bikes...

She rode all the downhills (except for one drop) but took a little bit to learn the proper body positioning on the climbs (all her crashes were while we were going up walls), but by the end, she had the proper over the front wheel technique down... Oh yeah, the front seals on the right side of my Fox is dead (oil coming down the fork legs from the stanchions). Good thing I have Enduro seals coming next week. Today, the plan is to hike up Moab Rim, ride Porc Rim and Amasa Back... It's supposed to be 55 degrees and sunny...

That looks great. I'm dying as I sit here at my desk today - the first time I've worked the day after T-Day in 10 years I think...wishing I were on my bike this morning.

Today...

Ran up Moab Rim trail (this is by far-the steepest mountain bike trail I've ever ridden) with the girls... Then we did Porcupine Rim (no shuttle run for this dude)... One more gorgeous day before weather closes in. The seal on the fork also died today so the bike is at Poison Spider getting new seals. I hope to get it back by tomorrow. I just hope the wrenches there are good....
