I'm going to ride this weekend in AZ, and I was looking for some recommendations on trails and bike shops. I can ride intermediate to advanced, And I'd like to ride something intermediate with maybe some fun technical stuff here and there (not a walkathon), I'm used to big climbs and technical decents. Also i'm looking for a competent bike shop that also rents mid to high end bikes for mountain biking.

thnx for any help!

Higher elevation trails equals cooler temps:

Lower elevation but a "must do" so start early in the morning:

Prison Camp to
Molino Basin to
Milagrosa

For the above, a shuttle would be nice. If you can, get a shuttle up to the start and ride down
to the bottom and then get picked up at the bottom somewhere.

(couldn't fing a review for prison camp, but it's the next parking area about a mile up the
highway from Molino Basin)

First, visit some local bike stores.

Get a trail map and trail book and carry both with you. Look up and map out the above rides.

Mention the above rides and get their opinions if possible.

Never ride alone.
