So I've got a 9.5 x 3.0 progressive 5th element shock on my m3 and I want to know how much it weighs without taking it off my bike and putting it on a scale. i did a basic google search and didn't come up with anything on progressive's website or anywhere else. If someone could help me out I'd appreciate it.

Sicklines.com says your shock without spring weighs 557 grams. http://www.sicklines.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=794 I would figure on a steel spring weighing about the same amount give or take; so probably 1100-1200 grams. You do realise you're on borrowed time with that shock... right?

They also weigh a DHX in that size and got 441 grams. Without knowing the exact spring rate you need, I'd wager a loss of at least 250 grams or over half a pound with the ti spring. :thumbsup:

I've got a titanium spring off my 5th that was on my M1. I'll let go for cheap if you want to go that route.

I think it's a 400lb spring with a 3 inch stroke.

I just bought a brand new 5th element and the web site said it weighs 1 lb
