After realizing the Truvativ Blaze wouldn't be good for me I'm now looking at a Truvativ Ruktion. My only question is are the chain rings removable?

Don't know your reasoning behind your crank selection, but wasn't familiar with the Ruktion cranks so googled and the first pic answered the question http://www.google.com/products?hl=e...esult_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBQQrQQwAA
Yes, but it uses a different BB than the Blaze and its a tank heavy cast alloy crankset. For pretty much the same price as a Ruktion and a Howitzer BB which you'll need), you could get a FireX GXP which has superior cold forged crankarms and a external BB included.

I chose it because it's a good crank set and I found one for brand new, cheap and it was the right size.

I'll bite...you didn't even know if it had removeable chainrings yet you would be willing to call it a good crankset? How much is it with the new bottom bracket you'll need? For a few bucks more you could get a much better crank and bb like this one http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/CR303A00-Shimano+Lx+Fc-M582+Crankset.aspx

I'm willing to call it goodt now that I found out more about it. My thread is here now because someone asked me to move it when it was in Tooltime.
