I may have the opportunity for a ride on the TRT this weekend and was thinking of doing Spooner or Kingsbury to Toads (or dump out on Armstrong if running out of time).

Is the whole TRT accessible by bike or is there still snow?

I would think is is minimal if much at all. We did the Mt Rose to Marlette Pk loop and Flume 2 weeks ago and the only sign of snow was a 10 foot patch on the upper north side of Marlette Pk.

In prep for a TRT ride last Monday, I was reading all of the threads and the only portion of the TRT from Spooner to Toad's that mentioned snow was Sean Allen's from ~July 4. His thread said he wished he'd had crampons/ice axe, and that was for the portion near Freel/before Armstrong.

The 2 or 3 tiny patches of snow left between Mt. Rose & Armstrong are probably totally gone by now. I suppose there will still be a trace of the drift on the north side of Freel, but it's trivial.

the drift by Freel is so very very small. It takes less time to get around that then it does some of the down logs.
