will triple clamps fit on any bike? and when you buy a new fork how do you know if it will fit? im looking at the Manitou Stance Kingpin any good? any other suggestions
There should be a value specified for stack heights the fork will work with. You measure from the bottom of the lower headset cup to the top of the upper. Add a few millimeters for the lower and upper bearing races and that's your stack height.

Another thing to consider is whether your frame can handle a DC fork. The stresses can be a lot higher than running an SC resulting in having your headtube rip right off.

And that can wreck your day. ;)
