Trek Remedy Rp2 oil leak?

I purchased a new 08 Trek Remedy 7 and have only ridden about 50 miles on it. Today, after a ride I noticed some clear oil on the elastic shock travel indicator band. Is this normal? I set everything on the shock by the book according to my weight and it still seems to be working fine. I actually didn't even know there was oil in there. I'm wondering if I need to take it back to the LBS for warranty work on the shock. Thanks.

Also, is the size 7.875x2.25?
