Hi There...

Can anyone advice me on what bike to buy. My choice is between a Trek 6500 and a Scott Expert Racing. I have recently been riding a Trek 6500, but it just got stolen  , so I'm out for some new gear.

Hope for some help.

Thanks

Let frame geometry or test rides decide

Most important difference, I would say, is the frame geometry. The Trek is on the slightly long side I believe, while the Scott is among the shortest on the market. To be compared with your body proportions, riding style and preferences. As always, a test ride may clarify things.

Both are decent bikes where an appropriate upgrade probably would be a fork with better damping, that really can be tuned for you, your riding, and your preferences.

A couple of links for the case that you want to get into generalized and theoretical sizing (including suitable frame length):

Thank you very much, anden, this will be very helpful for me.
