I am looking at these 2 bikes. I can get the Trek 4300 for $315 and the Jamis ranger 1.0 for $240.

I am buying a bike mostly to ride on some light trails, dirt roads and pavement. Right now I am in it for some exercise, but need something good for the money. I do not have more to spend unfortunately because I know the better bikes are over 1k. Can anyone offer some advice on which of these bikes is the best for the money. Thanks
