I have several mt bike races scheduled for the next five months. I would like to be peak in mid-April for my favorite race, which consists of a 30 miles and lots of climbing. I feel like I have a pretty good base right now, but I'm not in peak condition by any stretch.

Since this is my first time seriously training for mt. bike racing, I'm not sure exactly how many miles I should be riding (the status quo)?? Give me some guidance...how far should I be riding on my road bike, mt bike? What else?

also a little curious.

I road bike 50-100 miles a week and mt bike 30-60, but I've found tossing in a 3mi run 2x a week before a road ride realllllly helps me!

Curious about the same questions you have, as I'm gunna try mt bike racing in the coming months!
