Hey everyone, I'm new and pretty much a beginner... Veteran bike rider, but new to MTB.

Does anyone know of any good trails around Fayetteville Arkanas, or anywhere in the northwest corner of the state? Maybe even around Fort Smith?

It doesn't have to be anything too tough, either... I'm just having trouble finding any good places. I'll keep searching but thought you guys might know. :)

Thanks!

Fayetteville: Lake Fayetteville (good beginner trail, but gets lots of use by walkers/joggers/etc.)
15min NE of Fay: Lake Weddington (kinda rocky though)
20min south of Fayetteville: Devils Den
Eureka Springs: Lake Leatherwood
Van Buren: Lee Creek Res.
Fort Smith (actually Barling): Springhill (good beginner, very flat, 9ish miles)
Fort Smith: Fianna (horrible beginner trail, rocky, steep, basically really fun)

Lake Fayetteville will be your best bet in Fay. It's about 5-5.5miles long, not very rough, a few small hills (compared to springhill). Lake Fay is over by Lewis and Clark, park by the softball fields, it's probably easiest if you ride clockwise. You'll ride your bike down the road a little ways from the dam, over a small wooden bridge and then by a fence row.
