Why is it that people feel it is their right to alter sections of trail to make them easier?

I said it once and I will say it again....If you cannot ride technical sections on the trail, walk! Don't change it, because there are many folks who can clean technical sections or are close to cleaning them. A half hour last night spent cleaning up someones stupid changes.

That kind of defeats the whole purpose of mountain biking in the first place. I think they need to be pointed in the direction of the paved bike trails.

Can't agree more! walk it or ride it but don't efn change anything.

And pantylines or cheat lines whats up with that, especially when they don't go around anything difficult people just cutting corners short, What the HELL is the big hurry. Stay on the trail as it is.

Nothing sucks more than looking forward to your favorite section of trail that you can't quite master or have mastered but it still is a challenge, and some dickweed has completely sanitized it.

I just did a loud yelp myself!!!!!
There is another section on one of my favorite trails that is constantly being altered. I knock it down and a day or two later it is back up. I might hide in the woods and find the fockers in the act.

yeah, that does really make no sense of why people do that! BTW if you want to catch the people there are some special cameras for that. although they are not cheap ($70-$400) they are effective. The cameras are usually called "Camtraks" since they are mainly used to spot 'Hotspot" of bucks for deer hunter before the season starts. It will take a picture if the camera detects the heat of any large living animal i.e. Deer, bear, dog, human... Wlthough you might want to get the optional lock for it too since if someone finds it they wouldnt be able to steal it.
