Hey guys,

Anyone know if trail 257 beauty bay is rideable yet?

I've been playing around out at Canfield, still snow and some ice in spots, but most is good.
Curious if 257 normally clears about the same or later?

Some of the reading I've done on 257, seems as if there are some nice technical sections, but easy to get lost?

Would love to meet up for a ride with someone that knows the trail.

Jeff,

Some folks get lost up there. I don't know why, but they do.

The crew for the Lake City Trail Builder's Association clears 257, Caribou, and the Connector. We just worked on it today. It is not completely cleared. The upper section will have downfall on it.

As for it being technical, I guess that is a matter of opinion.

257 is not technical. fast as you can.
79 is technical.

I haven't been up there yet this year. still got snowmobiling on the brain.

257 is good. one tree down about 800 yards above the connector road. small snow patches before the top. once you start heading over to caribou ridge, whether it is on the top road or the connector you hit snow.

Ok, I have a new favorite trail Good riding with you Tim, hope to do it again.
I definitely have some exploring to do, Canfield won't be getting near as much ride time now.

So did you guys do the upper half of Caribou? How was it?

we climbed up 257 to the cross over and up caribou, dropped in the backside, climbed out and went over to caribou and went down, the same way we came up. trails are in good shape.


ps jeru was really good on may 10th,but put the xm away.
