I going to be buying a tracer 29 but dont know what size frame to buy. I,m 6'0 and ride a large niner sir 9. It has a seat tube of 18.5 and a top tube of 23.5. The large T29 has a ST of 20" and a TT of 24.5, the med. T29 has a ST of 18 and a TT of 23.5. Help me out please Im try to get a couple on demos but there hard to find here in San Diego. The med. would be cool as its .5lb lighter but thats not as important as i want the bike to fit me.

Check your specs again my friend on the Niner Sir 9....If you ride a large, it's a 19" seattube and a 24.5" top tube according to Niner's website. Funny thing is I have a large Niner Carbon air 9 and a medium T29. For XC riding, the longer TT is nice. But for AM riding I like a smaller frame. I'm 5'10"...it also depends greatly on how long of a stem you want to run and how wide of bars. I ride the T29 with a 70mm stem and 800mm wide bars. Even where you position your saddle on the rails changes fit. I've been fitting people for years and stem, bar width, saddle position, fork A-C height, and seat post setback can +/- an 1" or more in total "reach" for a rider.

Thanks for your reply MqtRider, I got my specs directly of my bike and did not check niners specs. I probaly going to go with the large as I ride XC mostly but will be doing some AM riding as well. I will be running a wide bar, but not 800mm. I going to be using salsa pro moto flat bars at 710mm. If I do go with a large do you think a 90mm stem is to long or if I push the seat forward will it be fine. Im going to put the reba 140 on it so i think it sould have a 69 HA.
