I have a family wedding I must attend. On a good note, there will be beer and family freaks at the reception but sadly no bikes .

a Pair of Aces will be there

Get this : I have to borrow a jalopy bike 'cause I don't own anything worthy for the event. All my rides are too nice, I've been told. Sheesh!

Sounds like a fun afternoon away from the heat that is beating my area, 105+ degrees last couple of days.

One question, the beer looks nice and refreshing but where the heck do you park your bike while sitting around drinking\chatting? At the moment only have a fairly expensive ride I would not be too comfortable leaving it sitting about especially in San Francisco..

They have a bike valet, so your ride will be safe.

Weather should be 75-78F

If you've never been, you can view their website to see the parking valet photos.

At the front of the wave, leading the parade through GG Park, with police escorts and all.

Nice tunes coming from this bike. No carpet/drapes comments, guys.

Cowbells helped the parade gather mass.

Return from the parade and grab a brew. The 1554 brew rated highly on this day. 85F degrees in the park.

It's a little like walking. Just put one foot in front of the other.

Check the V-brakes on this bike. Weightweenies.com lists these tires at 13,628 grams. Each.

Hey Everyone,

We had a great time at Tour de Fat. If you're in the Truckee area this weekend, I strongly recommend getting your threads ready now. Unique clothes and full-on Costumes are great conversation starters. If you've never been - go as yourself or go as whatever you want. You don't need a special bike to attend, but bring one for the parade.

Consider bringing a snack (or better still - support the food vendors there) and give yourself some time to sample the kegs of 1554, the Trippel, the Blue Paddle, the Sunshine, everything.

Also, watch out for last call. Seems that we lost track of time, didn't hear "Last CALL" over the band and general ruckus and walked out of there each carrying a "souvenir" beer token w/a $4 value.
