Touch up paint for Ibis MOJO SL White

2822 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  saltzzz
Hi Guys,

To my horror, i found a small chip on the front of the headtube while unpacking my bike from my overseas trip.

Can someone advice me on the touch up paint colour that corresponds to the white mojo (and where i can get it ? , i'm in Australia btw)

Also, is wet sanding recommended after i apply the touch up ?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Email [email protected] with your address and ask for some white paint.

Cheers!

Hans
Horror!!

It is tough when you get your first blemish on such a beauty!

I have a white Ibis and have touched it up with the Ibis paint several times. I didn't wet sand. You can see the area where I have touched it up if you look for them, but until I read your post, I'd forgotten all about them.

If anyone comments, just say, "I know, she's too beautiful to be ridden. My bad."

Hope you had a great trip with your Ibis!
It hurt the first time I noticed a chip on my SL also.....Now I have scratches and chips galore....and I havent even crashed it....yet.....I run in to trees, rocks...whatever I can pinball off of..haha but..I bought it to ride..and that sums it up...Its only 7 months old...still a pup..
Hi Hans, thank you for the asisstance . The touch up paint is on its way to Kangaroo-Land :)

Again, two thumbs up for the excellent customer service from Ibis!

Aches my heart when i think about the paint chip . I can bear with it IF the chip is located in the rear T or bottom tube, but heck its directly above the Ibis logo at the front!

Nevertheless, i'm sure the touch up paint will work wonders and shift the public's attention to the beautiful frame
Dear Hans , Jeff and fellow Ibisians,

The touch up paint sent over by Ibis worked wonders !

The front side of my Headtube looks flawless after applying the paint (and a lil bit of wet sanding post-paint) .

Hugs and Kisses from Kangarooland ! (I'm straight btw, just too happy to have this problem solved)
