I just swapped lowers on my 2004 Z1 FR from QR to 20mm. It was incredibly easy! My question is if the 25Nm torque figure in the Marzocchi manual for tightening the foot nuts is correct. I know that these nuts hold the fork together, but that is tight. I have a torque wrench, so no problem there. I just don't want to screw anything up.

And if anyone wants a new 2005 Z1 FR3 with quick release, PM me ...

Interesting answer to my own question ...

I called Marzocchi tech today and they said they use an air-powered torque wrench set at 1-1/2 foot-pounds for the foot nuts. That converts to approx 2.3 Nm, versus the 25 Nm shown in the official Marzocchi manual. WOW, what a difference. Maybe they missed a decimal point when they printed the manual.
