What's the difference in the Tora 289, 302, and 318? I as looking at the u turn as it has adjustable heights. I found a used 289 for cheap, but I don't know if my wieght is a factor being 230lbs.

289-Rebound damping adjustment, STKM steel stanchions, bushings not serviceable

302-Rebound damping adjustment, Turn Key compression damping lockout, STKM steel stanchions, bushings not serviceable

318-Rebound damping adjustment, Motion Control compression damper with lockout, 4130 Cro-Mo taperwall stanchions, bushings ARE serviceable.

This may be the most complete answer I have ever read on MTBR.:thumbsup:

i run a tora 318 coil. you need the Xfirm spring for sure. otherwise you use half the travel just sitting on the bike. it is sprung for 140-160 lbs riders from the factory. sometimes you can sell your med weight springs for a few bucks though.
