Me and my dad are a little bit of packrats and we have too many bikes. We have about 5 or 6 that are old, too small or otherwise we don't use and I was wondering what to do with some of them. We have everything from a 15" Rockhopper thats too small to an old Raleigh and one of the first FS bikes and the sort. Mabye its my packrat roots but I also have a problem about tossing out good bikes(most of them are at least). And I thought about Ebay but I don't know how much I would get. Maybe I should even go mad scientist on the full suspension.

I just don't know. :madman: Plaese help :)

Ebay's a great place. Your old bikes might sell for more than you think. I recently sold all my old bike parts that I no longer used. When I put the stuff up for auction I had no idea how well all of it would sell. Well, my old bits and pieces paid for a new frame.

If you're not riding them and not hard up for cash maybe try taking them to a place that will distribute them to kids who want bikes but can't afford them, it will make you feel prety good I would guess.

I use all of my old bikes for tinkering with when I am frustrated. At one time I had 11 total, now I think I have enough boxed up parts to build around 15 but only 3 frames. I am also a packrat and most of the bikes I strip I know that the parts are basically worthless, but fun to play with.

I always just figured that I might find a need for a 5spd. freewheel, brake set off of a 10 year old bmx bike, 7spd. grip shifters or one of the 20 brake levers, a multitude of chewed up bmx pegs or some vintage burnt out suntor road parts I have laying around
