I have been eyeballing this route for a couple of weeks now. I decided today would be a good day to ride, until the thunder, lightning, hail, and rain. But I got over half the ride done before the down pour. But I got SOAKED trying to make it back to my truck.
The ride profile. My GPS died about ¾ of the way through and I didn't want to change the batteries in the rain, so I drew in the rest of the ride. That's why it doesn't have the speed for the last 5 or so miles.

Getting ready to take off.

We had storms in the area the night before, so the trails were wet in places but overall it wasn't bad.

We have a lot of varied terrain here in Washington from buff smooth "single" track…….

Too rooty rocky bust your butty.

The flowers were out playing today.

These ones were hanging on the side of a bluff that I stopped at to re-fuel.

Just a reminder of who these trails were intended for. I saw 8 moto riders and even helped a boy (I don't know his age) getting his ride un-stuck.

Some of the views I was blessed with.

The steed taking in the views.

More "single" track.

Then all hail broke loose.

When the hail hit it hurt bad. I was happy to have my helmet on and heard them plunking off the top or my head.

Those were the last two pictures I took before trying to make it back to my truck before the big storm hit. But I got soaked for the last 5 or 6 miles. It was a good day out riding. I ended up with a massive lump on the side of my right knee where I tagged a tree :D But no blood.
