Engrish is a freaking language

why can't it be one letter - one sound like in many other languages??? :madman:
Thule is swedish so I guess is their fault too... :)

Anyway, the Too-lee guy said it that way at REI, so I'm assuming that's how you say it.

It's not, actually. In Sweden, the folks pronounce it "TOO'oo-LUH," with the ' break similar to the one in Hawai'i.

But in the US, I've never heard anything but "Too-lee." It's like "karaoke." Everyone looks at me like I'm an idiot when I pronounce it the Japanese way. I think it is probably more important to know the bastardized English version than the "real" one.

I mean, the last time I went to a bike shop the shop owner said "Muh-GRRR-uh" for Magura, and "FYOO-gee" for Fuji. As long as you have cash in your wallet, it hardly matters I think.
