Titus Ml-1 Metamorphosis
I just purchased an Titus ML-1 from ColoradoCyclist. Good Deal! So my question is what do you guys think about these components to build up the bike and what do you think it will weigh in at? I would appreciate the input.

Switching from old bike:
32 Fox Vanilla RLC
Fox RP2
Mavic 717 Wheels

NEW:
Brakes Avid Juicy 7 with Lever
Headset-FSA Orbit X
Pedals-Crank Brothers MXR
Grips-Lizard Skin
Stem-Thompson Elite
Cassette-SRAM PG990
Shifters-SRAM X.9 Set
Crankset- Not sure but want to keep it under 200 any suggestions. Was thinking Shimano XT or Race FACE. Please Help
Front DER-SRAM X.9
Rear DER-SRAM X.9
Seat-WTB SPEED COMP- Don't know about this one but hate paying 100 bills for a seat! Suggestions?
Chain- Whatever works right?

I bought a size MEDIUM.

Total Cost Around 900.

So what do you guys think? Okay deal? Good components? From my research they are pretty good parts. Any idea on weight? Thanks for your help.

Good solid build, man.

Seaddle... WTB Rocket V, gotta love it and it comes in different price points.

Crank... you can't go wrong with the Shimano SLX.

Chain... disposable, so get the cheapest one and lube it every ride.

Get a cheapo stem now that you'll be trying a new bike. when you finally settle for the right one, then get something like the Thomson or something nicer.
Nice build. The SRAM cassette lock-ring may contact the the RD hanger nut. Not so with Shimano.

I have the SLX cranks, pretty much the one to beat now. It's virtually the same weigth as the XT, but stiffer (even the 3 ring one).

Saddle, I had the Rocket V on my ML and now have a Pure V. Both are pretty confortable, but personally I prefer the Pure. It's just a matte of what fits you best.
Check again

Was that one a bathroom scale? I just built a 24.35 pound FTM with some heavier parts than yours. Granted, it's an FTM and 2.1 tires, but no carbon bars or post and used normal FSA cranks. Can't save nearly 5 pounds just with a frame and tires.
Nice

May I ask how much that cost you? Where did you get the components?

Dont forget he's rollin with 2.35 heavagals. Those are some heavy meats but depending on where you live (like moi in texas), they ROCK (as long as you arent in a hurry)

Hmm. Couldn't tell you. I did just get the ML-1 frame for 8 bills from Colorado Cyclist, but I have been moving parts from frame to frame for some time now. I did just get the Race Face Deus for $189 from Jenson USA, the Talas RLC off ebay for $ 400, the wheels from Ebay a couple of years ago for $325, juicy carbon brakes of eBay for $300 about 2 years ago. The rest from local bike shops as time has gone on.

As far as weight goes, my scale actually says 28.25 lb but the bike shop weighed it at 29.25 lb. I hung the bike up on their scale but I didn't see the reading or the type of scale they had. Maybe the guy misread it.
