Titus has a pretty good race team, as well as dealer level grassroots racing.
The Racer X has been a perennial favorite on the starting line for over 10 years.
If you look at Titus bikes over the last 20 years, you can see that they have focused on stiffness, and staying light, rather than going the squishy route.
These days carbon is the preferred material for XC racers and the new version of the X is the lightest and stiffest (and quietest) one yet.
If you are at the pro level and have lots of free time to travel and race, contact Titus.
If you are at sport or expert level, give me a shout.
Always like to support enthusiastic racers.
The 2010 Titus X looks really good. It appears Titus did their home work and fixed the problems of the 2009 Carbon X chassis. The 2009 Carbon X had a poorly designed drop out which Titus redesigned for 2010. Amen! All they have do now is lighten up the seat post binder. But that will be a project for 2011.
