A little more detail such as type of riding, trail conditions, preferred width would help tremendously in recommending tires.

anyone have a good set they would recommend , maybe that could be used tubed or tubeless ?

single track , xc , dirt and mud
WTB Weirwolf 2.55", tubeless, and at around 25 psi. Narrow tires might save weight...but they never grip as well, and they're not as versatile. Only road bikes and subcompact cars should have skinny tires.
