How much grip do Time z pedals offer compared to regular alloys with pins. I want to get a pair of pedals that i can just leave on when i do different types of riding. When i go climb and do trails i don't like going on flats, but i also don't like using cleats wheh im praticing my skills.

the time z pedals are clip ins so duh you will not have as much grip as you would platfroms plus for me I would not like being stuck to a bike when you mess up on a drop would you? go with a platform pluss a good shoe also makes a big dif..... I use the shimano dx platforms with the dx shoes on my race bike and etnies and wellgo platforms on my freeride bike

Here's a reply without saying "duh" and making silly assumptions..
There's seems to be no holy grail of clipless and platform.. beside those with one style on each side of the pedal. -But those look suspect at best. The platform on the Z just gives your foot better footing while your clipped in. When you're not clipped in you roll around on the pedal just like with all the other clipless pedals.
(btw mtf, where I ride there's plenty of folks that ride drops I don't even like standing near the edge of.. and they wear clipless..)
