Sent a question to SRAM tech service 2 months ago about a Time ATAC 12XC pedal body that broke on a rock and I was looking for a replacement part to rebuild the pedals.... um they are $300 (down from $400) so figured they would have a part number and I could order it for $50-$75 bucks or something. No response. Not even a "hey we are looking into your question as it has been received" nonsense, nothing, nada. I dig deeper on the SRAM "customer service" portion of the site and says all spare parts and number found in a document - insert link.... well it's a 350 page document that shows exploded diagrams of every sram product currently available so after scrolling for 10 minutes I found a single road pedal... scrolled on to find mountain and they don't exist. Dug deeper and there is a difficult to find little blurb that the only parts available for Time legacy pedals is that one road pedal listed in the document! I can only take this as Time ATACs are done for. They still show on the SRAM website but maybe I missed something but I guess I have to switch over my fleet (literally a fleet) of bikes to some other pedal after like 20 years of riding Time ATACs. That blows.

You musta really wacked that pedal, I've hit my share of **** and have never done damage like that. If the time is up on Time, I guess I better stock up. So they won't let you use other terms for poop.
I finally got a response from SRAM after my second request for assistance. Here is the response:
"Thanks for reaching out, I am sorry to hear this! Can you please send me some pictures of the damage? When and where did you purchase these pedals?

Unfortunately, the composite body on the Time XC 12 pedals is not replaceable. This item is not a spare part. These pedals will need to be replaced. I am happy to help with a replacement set of pedals as long as you fall inside of the warranty period. Please let me know what you find for purchase receipt information and when you bought the pedals.

Again, I am really sorry for the news and situation."

So maybe not discontinued but they are not offering replacement parts. I have no idea what the warranty period is and I can't recall if I ordered these new or pre-owned. Guess I get to hunt through emails from years ago. Maybe I'll check what the warranty period is first.

As to the impact. I have used Time pedals since the late 90's when they looked like bars of soap with staples sticking out of them. Never broke a pedal ever and has some pretty good pedal strikes. I've rebuilt numerous sets with replacement bearings and bushings and replaced cleats but never had to retired a set due to damage or wear I couldn't rebuild. I did feel it get hung up on a rock as I was coasting with that pedal forward and it was enough to spin the crank so left foot was now back but it didn't stop me or deviate me so no clue. Must just have been hit just right.

I don't think it's that they're not offering parts for it. They're just saying that's not a part you can repair. It's like if you wrecked the frame on your Toyota pickup and went back to Toyota and tried to just buy a frame. "I'm sorry sir you can buy a fender or a bumper but we don't just sell frames". Maybe a bad analogy??

Hopefully they can sell you a single pedal at a crash discount price or something.

The pedal body was NEVER a spare part even when the company was still an independent. The springs, jaws and pivot pins, bearings and axles are still available as spare parts. Pedal bodies not.
If you search long enough you may find someone who has trashed an axle and wants to offload the bodies.
I've been riding TIME road and MTB pedals since 1988 and I've never broken any of the pedals I've owned like that. I've broken three retaining jaws but never broken a pedal body...ever
