Mahalo to Jason E. and Camp Timberline for putting on a fun, grassroots type event. A great time was had by all. The riders ranged from Expert/Semi Pros to normal everyday trail riders out for some Sunday fun. The vibe was loose and laid back as the riders enjoyed a course that could be described as short and non-technical. Even though this race had no shuttle or lift, the riders toughed it out and pushed. Iron man Jimmy O. raced two classes with two different bikes. That's a lot of pushing! Vish showed up and his trademark Aussie sense of humor kept everyone in a great mood while he raced and shot video. (He took 3rd Overall). Hey Vish? Did you ever get your bike and gear out of that tree? Sorry, inside joke...... Looking forward to some great footage on TheVishFiles.com. Stay tuned.

The field featured several go fast-guys with National DH experience and it showed as they ripped up the short course for some super quick times. Also in the field were the North Shore Freeriders who proved that they not only go huge, but can shred a DH course with the best of 'em.

Rumor has it that the next DH race will be at St. Louis. Also , the Dirt Day in Paradise at the end of July at Kualoa Ranch should feature some fun times and hot DH action! Stay tuned for more details. Adios for now, and keep shreddin'!

Do you know when the next DH race at St. Louis will be? I'd fly over for that. Used to ride there all the time when I went to UH. I miss it a lot.

Suppose to be in August. Stay tuned here or at www.dhhawaii.com. I think they're trying to space the DH races at one a month. I heard the next St. Louis race is supposed to be on Lower Powerline.

There's a crew that's been keeping all the St. Louis trails clean and the stunts repaired.

Rode Lower Powerline, Dump & Technos trails last Sunday. All the trails were sweet. I would have rode all day except for the upper body fatigue and arm pump.:( I ended up having to take a nap after.
