Congrats, Mike. I hope you're going to give us a good first ride review and perhaps some pics of your first race with it.

How is it going back to derailleurs?
I managed to get for a quick 1 hr ride last night since the weather held-out. Wow! What a blast!

It only took me a minute or two to become accustomed to the X.0 twisters. But, I've got to remember to actually use them. Since I've been SS'ing for 4-yrs, I've become so engrained to just go and not shift....I'll have to re-learn when to shift and what gears to use.

Also, I'm going to have to adapt my riding-style. When SS'ing, I'm often out-of-the-saddle. With a FS, I can stay seated and let the suspension work it's magic. Again, just a matter of adjusting and re-learning a different way to ride.

Those are some beefy tubes. Stan's works great with the AirLights. I've run mine at 30lbs for the last year without a single problem. Two rim strips and three scoops of the goop will run about 200 grams and cut about 1/3 lb. off your rig.I also think that the lower PSI really benefits that tire.

Do you have any idea how the FSA BB/Crank compares in weight to the XTR?
