The Ti bolts I had recommended 27Nm 20ftlbs. This is below what a lot of crank makers recommend. Use steel bolts the first time the cranks are put on and use them until the cranks have stopped moving up the taper. Then you can use aluminium or titanium bolts. The aluminium bolts I had recommended 14Nm torque, although I have seen others than only recommend 10Nm.MuppetLegs said:I've got some ti crank bolts to go into my ti tapered bb, but do not know the correct torque settings. Also what should I use on the bolt/taper interface, copper grease, loctite..?
On a tapered spindle you'd first torque a set of steel bolts properly, remove, then set your ti. bolts-right?extralite said:The Ti bolts I had recommended 27Nm 20ftlbs. I have alwaqys used Ti prep anti-seize on Ti bolts.
