Thursday 18th: Gap ride, who's in and what are we eating after?

Meet 6pm. Roll at 6:15.
If you're a B rider, feel free to roll early and we'll see ya on the trail.

Last week we had ~10-12 riders and 1 poorly assembled helmet cam. The setting was such that it would only take 1 minute worth of video before the buffer got full. I played around with a smaller setting, so we're back for round 2 of testing.

And there's riding...let's not forget that part. This week I need to take clippers out there and do some freakin trailwork on the PO. My right arm has been swollen all week. Arg.

Oh, and food. Jeff brought some sushi that was yummi. We had chips, but no salsa. My bad. This week, I will bring the salsa.

Fog rolled in as we finished, and standing around eating was a chilly task for those that didn't have long pants and jacket.

Anyone have a representative picture for the Gap ride to attach?

I am a maybe, probably, most likely, let me see but I'm not sure for this ride. If I am there then I have committed to the ride. I think quantum physics would state that there is only a possibility that I am there.
Rick
ill be there. riding from the parking lot this time since Im doing the wed skeggs ride also
Soon, the weather will be hot, and the trails dusty. We'll kick ourselves for not riding when the dirt mimics Velcro and you can hang 1/2" off your buddy's rear wheel, or fly 6 deep in formation down awesome singletrack without wearing a SARS mask.
Good times.
I'm in. Will bring few beers and some food, haven't figured out what yet.

If I ride up from the canyon, will I need lights to get back down to SC road when the loop is done?
if you hang out after, yes. but last week we finished the loops with enough time for me to make it back by 8:15 when it was just getting dark.
i might be in for a ride depending on how long you all are planning for. I have an appt in the city at 9:15pm...

last week, our riding time was 1:20. From the city, maybe you can come back via hwy 35->92 and save some time. From the parking lot down to hwy 280x85, is about 25 mins.
That's the route I've been taking to go home. It gets slow if you run into heavy fog on Skyline, but it's still more direct than driving back down the hill to get to 280.

Jeffh and I will be there!!

The Brownies are made for our after ride snacking pleasure!! :)

I will be bring out my new ride, Titus Eleven!!
I'm bringing some homemade mango salsa.
Since Carmen's bringing brownies, I'll bring my appetite.

Anyone in the NSJ area want to meet up to carpool? Tom or Jeff K?

Sure. A good spot each week for us is at the bottom of the hill in Saratoga. There is a big parking lot right in downtown Saratoga next to the Wells Fargo. People are there around 5:35pm.
Are we meeting in the lot before and after the ride?

We're eating after the ride at the Gap parking lot, hwy35x9. The ride meets, and starts/finishes at the Gap parking lot.

Some of us meet at the lot in Saratoga town in order to carpool up the hill before the ride, around 5:35pm.
