I am contemplating a thru axle fork. How are you folks carry your bikes that have such a thing? I will need to remove the front wheel for transport. Any nice solutions? Thanks.

Not all 20mm systems are created equal. My oldest Z1 had just a quick release, so it would be quick to pop off for transport; with a Fork Up mount would be just as easy as any other qr to mount on a fork-mount type rack. My next Z1 had the QR20+ version that required two 4mm bolts to release the flaps to release the "quick" release skewer. My Z150 has another version of qr20+ that has cam-type flaps so you don't need a wrench, but it's still not a quick removal of the flaps to access the "quick" release skewer. Other fork manufacturers have different systems, some easier than others. However, with all of them I've been using a Sportswork rack that doesn't require wheel removal; when I have gone riding with others doing the driving it can be a bit of a hassle.

Get a rock shox pike! the Maxle 20mm quick release is a thing of genious! It's too bad it's not the industry standard for front and rear drop outs because it's totally amazing!!! It's as quick and easy to use as any standard QR! love it!
