Hi,

I ride with a Commencal Meta, with SLX FH-M7010 rear hub, 12x142mm Thru Axle system. Formerly, I used the Sram Maxle Ultimate Thru Axle, now, I use Sram Maxle Stealth, because of simplifying, and weight reducing of my bike.
My problem is, that I formerly realised, when I used the Maxle Ultimate, that my wheel is setting up strange noise, like beep-beep-beep-beep... It is not very loud, but it is firm and rytmicall, it seems it is related with the wheel's turning, one turn, one beep.
Later once, totally occasionally, by a puncture, I left the axle a little bit lighter, not so stiff, and the noise disassembled.
But now, when I use the Stealth Axle, It started again the symptoms, and now it seems to be a problem, because the stealth axle I cannot leave to loosener, because I will lost my wheel during a harder ride. :)
Have you ideas, what could be it? Is it maybe because of the hub, or the frame, or whatever else?

Thanks, sincerely: wmtv

i would rather use anti-seize instead of grease. It is much more resilient and doesn't affect thread torgue as much as grease does. you could use grease on the non-threaded part of the axle and anti-seize onto threads.
