Yeah, that can happen when the thread gets too long. The workaround, I gather, is to change your Display Mode to Linear Mode. This has worked for me on those few occasions when I want to look at a thread with a lot of posts. I always switch back to Hybrid Mode when I'm done though. I tried it just now on the thread you mention. I'm unable to look at it in Hybrid Mode, but it came up just fine when I switched to Linear Mode.
