I bought my Overdrive "Expert" model from Performance cycle a few years ago for $280 but due to an auto accident never really had a chance to ride it until this past month.

I like the geometry of the bike. It fits me well and the it rides decently for what I use it for (mostly paved paths, some gravel and light XC riding) however the cheap, bottom of the line drive components (Suntour front fork and Shimano tourney/altus drivetrain) are frankly terrible.

So at this point I am looking at either upgrading the fork and drive train to something decent (Rock Shox Reba or better and either Shimano SLX or Sram x1 or better parts) or else just selling off the bike as-is and buying something like the Overdrive Carbon Pro (which already has all of the higher end parts + a carbon frame).

Frankly buying the Pro seems like the better option however there isn't a lot out there in the way of feedback or reviews for that bike, thus my posting here looking for some opinions.

Thoughts?

I think it is a great bike, I opted for an Orbea Alma. I have the Overdrive Pro 27.5 (2018), good bike, but i'm not a fan of the Reba on either bike. Overdrive 29ers have steep HA, but good for XC.

I went ahead and bought it last week.

Been riding it the past two days and I am very happy with the bike overall. For the paved/gravel/XC riding I do, it's a great bike and a Hell of an upgrade over my 2012 aluminum frame Expert Overdrive.
