Somehow in a race Sunday I crashed and managed to drive the bottom of my right shoe into my left inner, upper thigh. I finished the race, checked it afterward, and it was just red marks where cleats had pressed. Then yesterday it became a foot sized black and blue mark with a bit of a lump. It's fairly nasty looking, but hurts less than you would think lookling at it. I am getting around fine, and it hurts only a bit when I sit for a while and then get up.

I feel like I could ride now, but want to be able to race July 4th weekend. If I can ride with no pain, or very little, is it OK to do so? Should I rest it for a week and treat it with some heat at night, or something else? I'm guessing it must not be that deep, or it would hurt more, and maybe induce a limp. Suggestions?
