But imho campy just reentered the mountain bike market. New 06 groups feature flat bar shifter options and v-brakes....

Of course I would put forth the recommendation that only lightweight smooth spinning cc guys will be able to capitalize on this.

Hmmm.... I wonder if these are intended for the up-right riding road crowd, or for a future mountain bike group. Campy's gearing (cranks mostly) isn't really suitable for most MTB applications, but maybe soon?

Saw

It is actually for the street bike/crusier/commuter/city bike/700c wheels thing. Not intended for MTB riding.

Boy, those and some Record OR cantis and maybe a carbon record rear deraileur sure would look pretty on a vanilla.

Meh who cares about the brakes. It's all about the shifting... Now if only chris king would start making campy compatible driveshells. :rolleyes:
