Said the joker to the thief

There is too much confusion, I can get no relief

Business man they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth

None will level on the line, nobody of it is worth...

to be continued...

That Yeti is in its natural habitat.
After all YETI= Abominable Snowman
"No reason to get excited..."

Another Hendrix fan...or do you favor the original Dylan version?

I suspect soon two riders will approach.

Nice...can't wait for the incoming flow of pics :-D

to keep the snow topic while the warm pics come..

I went to Feldberg in the Black Forest this weekend....the white stuff can be fun (I am still learning to ski :D)

Nice, now I see why it's called the Black Forest. We have snow too, and sleet and freezing rain. Would get the bike out but temp is around 9 degrees with 10 MPH wind. Flip, your pics look deceivingly warm.
BJM- I'm partial to Hendrix although there are times when Dylan gets the message through clearer if you know what I mean... Red rocks and sun does look warm in pictures but it wasn't on Amasa yesterday...
Cris- We hope to be able to find a way to download SJ's pics as most of the pics were with her camera... Your Black Forest picture looks like what we left a couple of days ago and the white stuff followed us here...
No reason to get excited
The thief he kindly spoke
There are many here among us
Who feel that life is but a joke but uh
But you and I weve been through that
And this is not our fate
So let us not talk falsely now
The hours getting late
(found on the side of the trail on Amasa-unfortunately or fortunately it was empty- we left it there for the owner)...

All along the watchtower
Princes kept the view
While all the women came and went
Bare-foot servants too

Outside in the cold distance
A wild cat did growl
Two riders were approachin
And the wind began to howl

All along the watchtower
Hear you sing around the watch
Gotta beware gotta beware I will

Trail- Amasa Back and Rockstacker.

No doubt it was the ghost of Jimmy who left that there!
Nice pics

Great post.

Rockstacker is looking more trail-like these days. It was a glorified goat trail the last time I was on it.

We hit Rockstacker from the Jackson side since we were running out of time (and the storm was blowing in from the Potash side so Rockstacker was on the protected backside of Amasa)... Next time we'd like to hit from the top of Amasa (if we can find the entrance)... Lots of great drops and alternate lines... Too bad long red strips of paint was used to mark the trail however... It was pretty ugly...
Who does that paint? A rock cairn is all that's needed. Always enjoy your posts, next best thing to getting out myself when I'm tied to the desk chair.

As usual, sweet stuff.

The ute forum has a discussion re: the paint. No "final answer".

We also found a dime bag mid-October at the Amasa Back parking lot dumpster.... Hmmm.....

It snowed quite a bit on us on Tuesday so we just hung out with the dogs, worked a little, drank a little, met up with some local friends for Thai and some more beers... You gotta love Moab around Christmas time... It's super-quiet!

WOW! that's a pretty lively discussion over a trail that is not so secret...
Those Ute forum guys missed the part about not getting excited. Maybe Dylan can add a line about chalk painters..."Trail runners they paint my rocks..."
Great stuff flip....thanks for posting.....nice stemware.....
