We just got back from Moab 2 weeks ago and I have to say, The Whole Enchilada was amazing.

First let me say, we did not finish the entire thing. But, that was due to one of our buddies breaking his leg on UPS. But, we have ridden LSP through Porcupine the year before...

But, Burro Pass down through Hazard and Kokopelli to UPS was amazing. Some of the most beautiful riding I have ever done!

Burro Pass has some steep technical shale rock sections, but after that, you are home free for some amazing views. I highly recommend the ride, but just make sure you have the technical skills to ride it!

SWEET! looking forward to doing the whole enchilada as well. I've done Kokopelli to LPS last year. How much longer is the ride and how much elevation loss?

How did your buddy break his leg?

I was about to write up a ride report on this, maybe I still will. Rode it last Thursday and yes, it was incredible!

26.5 miles total, 8,500 feet of elevation drop. Started at 8am, 53 degrees at the top. About 100 when we finished at 1pm.

If you are going to do the whole enchilada, it is 27 miles. So, depending on your skill level, calculate how long that will take.

My buddy broke his leg on the last section of UPS. There is a very steep slickrock face, which he came off his bike on and landed feet first, snapping his left leg. So, my advice is, be careful at the steep slickrock section at the end of UPS!

My Fiance and I have done the Porcupine rim trail. When we shuttled it, we got dropped off at La Sal Mountain loop road and took the Kokopelli down to UPS.

My question: How much more miles and descent did we miss when we were dropped off at La Sal Mountain loop road?

Um, miles? Maybe 8-10 miles and 3000 feet. But, you missed the incredible Hazard County section. It is amazing flowing single tracks with a killer view. From Burro pass down, it is ok, just lots of steep shale sections and cow poop.

Yeah, unfortunately we went sometime in april last year and the burro still had quite a bit of snow. Thinking of heading back out there this Labor day but it might be too hot:madmax:

I did TWE last year with another buddy (Late aug). It was the most amazing ride. Epic! The hike-a-bike up Burough pass was sucky but the reward of 25+ miles of downhill from treeline (pines through aspens... wow!) through hazard to the PPR to the Colorado was off the chizang! Looking to do it again while I'm out there from 8/29-9/4. If anyone is interested... drop me a note.
