That's me on point in the picture. The second guy from the back on the crest "Arty" started the ride a year ago. He goes 250 plus... We have another I'd guess goes 280. It didn't (and isn't ) a "Clyde Ride", it just worked out that way! :lol:
It's pretty nice in that "newby's" don't seem to be as intimidated by a bunch of old fat guys! We been able to get a bunch of new guys hooked on the sport and always have someone to ride with! (It takes them a while to figure out that old guys can be fast!) We've had as many as 16 on the ride.... Nice thing about open desert is string out a bit and still keep an eye on everyone. This is a "social" ride and our fast guys check their ego's so we can all ride together.
Long, summer days riding through the hills with 5 or 10 of your closest drinking buddies, everyone talking about the last part that broke while they were "just riding along" or what they're going to order at the Taco Hut after the ride...
Those were the days..
