That's it, the Turner is built!

The last of my parts showed up on Friday night, so I spent yesterday bolting stuff on. I was worried about installing and bleeding the brakes myself, but they're on and working great. The hoses are a little long, but I'll fix them another time.

How many Turner points do I get for pics of the finished bike ON the couch and in front of the garage door?

Hey that looks a lot like mine. Beauty! Congrats on the bike - sorry about the snow. :)
Very nice!! How long ago did you buy that Z1? I was looking for one recently and couldnt find a new one anywhere.
That looks like a virgin you stole out of a nunnery (old design, new build and un sullied)

Very nice, as above, shame about the Snow.

Here ya go, see for yourself!
While you're at it, help yourself to the KoolAid.

Nice build!

Thanks! I bought the fork with the frame used in November from a guy in South Carolina. He said he just rode XC with the fork, and it looks nearly new. I figured for an extra $350, the Z1 was a pretty good deal... a heck of a lot cheaper than the Fox 36 varieties. If I hadn't gotten the Z1, I would have tried to find a Zoke 66 someplace.

My local mechanic already offered to buy the bike from me, but I'm holding onto it

Since it is our living room couch and the outside of the garage, I count 10 points on your scale with the various pics.

Pardon me while I go guzzle a stein of KoolAid now. Woohoo!

Blasted snow :madman:
I like this rash of white RFXs. It's almost like you're part of the Last Wave of 2006 RFX Club. Plus they look great in an understated way. Very nice!

Yeah, the weather sucks everywhere. Darn sleet and ice is quite annoying though I enjoy driving around in AWD.

OMG... that thing looks hot. It looks a lot cooler than even Fo's Turner.

The bike's name is obviously, Mr. White.

Minus

the bike looks nice, good luck with it but does it get points taken away because the couch ain't RED?!

Very, very nice. Gives me an little idea of how mine's gonna look. Nice build too, not show-off blingy like some folks (cough*Foshizzle*cough), but beefy and functional. Did you pick up those Rhynolite/Saint wheels on closeout somewhere? I was looking at those myself, but decided I didn't want to be married to Saint rotors and rear derailleur (not that those aren't good parts). They sure were a good deal.

And no deduction points for not having a red couch, since the frame is white and that's what the cool guys ride. ;)

Have fun.
Too many steertube spacers: - 5 points
No gravity retarder: - 5 points
untrimmed brake lines: - 5 points
unoriginal color scheme: - 5 points
Ryno Lite(rim brake)rims: - 10 points

Weight of that bike has got to be near 40 pounds.

The wheelset was from BlueSky and were a great deal http://www.blueskycycling.com/product2801_54_-Shimano-Saint-M800-Wheelset-w--Sun-Rhyno-Rims-&-Saint-M800-Derailleur.htm

They threw in a free Saint derailleur, but the rapid rise isn't my cup of tea. I tossed out the heavy axle bolt that affixes the derailleur and got an aluminum Hadley bolt from Balle Racing: http://www.balleracing.com/Hadley/Hadley10mmAxle.htm

You might like the Saint rotors, Shimano rotors are quit a bit less noisy than the Avid rotors on two other bikes I have.

Thanks for not deducting points for the blue couch! :D
