Yeah, its gorgeous up there. Kevin, Im normally there every thursday but that day was last sunday. It was a toss up between Boneshaker and Bob Gnarley for the descent. Bob Gnarley is technical like a mofo! It seemed as if not very many ppl ride that route because some sections of the trail you could barely see. Luckily someone was smart enough to mark the trail with a stack of rocks . There is alot of rocky section on BG, some of it requires you to dismount and walk up or down the obstacle. Im going back this thursday but Im only going to do the first 1/4 (Bunny and Cat in the Hat loop).

Next time you come down, lets take on the Boneshaker!

Boneshaker rocks!

We did a Tahoe road trip this fall, stopped in Vegas to break up the 14 hour drive. After 8 days of riding in the Tahoe area I would still say the Baneshaker was in the top 2 rides of the trip, probably right behind Toads. Wish I would of had my bigger bike, the 5 Spot got bottomed out pretty hard on several of the drops towards the bottom of Boneshaker.

Is Bob Gnarly that trail that takes off down one of the steep narrow canyons from the trail that hooks the Ridge trail over to Bone Shaker? I think I may have started down Bob Gnarly once and turned back because the trail seemed to peter out down in the rocky canyon. Now that 'someone' has marked it I'll have to pursue it. Technical mofo is right!

I thought it would be my bone breaker! Maybe i should have rode it with a partner. That last section of the switchbacks with drops and severe loose descent. well, i walked that puppy.

Yup. There is alot of rocky terrain down there. 30% of the trail is forming weeds and grass, its hard to see it. I had a slow leak in my rear tube, came across a boulder and smacked my rim on it hard. Had to pump it with air about three times until we got back to the lot.

May 7th sounds good, count me in.
