One of the bikes was fat, so I guess that is justification enough for posting it here.

The full writeup and more pictures are on my blog, but here are some pictures:

I love this picture. Colour me jealous.

BTW, Homemade pogies?
Very very cool! Looks like a blast.

Love this photo also. Great write-up in the blog too, enjoyed it immensely. From some of your photos it looks like you are using SPD 545 pedals!! I gave up on them in frustration, always getting clogged and/or iced up preventing me from clipping in...do you not find this too? Or are you just riding with winter boots unclipped on the cages in these conditions?
I switched to CB Malletts and they are a huge improvement in that regard, at least in my experience.
Keep riding, shooting, and posting!
ps - your Pugs looks great, nicelu outfitted!

SPP, it is in this part of the world.

CLONG, the pogies are actually a pair of cheap (about 10 €) ATV gloves bought from Biltema, a Scandinavian chain store that sells mostly car stuff. The pogies actually work very well and are very warm.

BlackCanoeDog, I'm actually positively surprised by the M545 pedals. They have not iced up too badly yet and the cages allow you to ride unclipped should they ice up.

I'm very satisfied with how the Pugsley turned out (well, the color is still ugly). Ultimately I wanted to be able to do these kind of trips on it and it works very well. There should be no problems to get the stuff needed for a week long tip to fit.
That is one amazing trip! Thanks for the report!

No, that colour's perfect on your bike! Looks very back -country, Land Rover/Jeep-ish. Kaki is very appropriate to your adventures
I got cold reading it :)

Thanks. While the color is boring, it does have a certain utilitarian aesthetics to it, like in this picture:

looks good here, works nicely with the black rims etc...I have seen numerous other pics of your bike on your blog in which that colour looks great!
