The GF Rig - Spot in Dirt Rag

In the latest issue of Dirt Rag, there is just a little blurb about the offering from GF. It shows the bike (purple frame with a WB's fork) in a little picture. Says that it will come with the disc brakes and a Bontrager rigid fork though. Also, that it will retail for about $800. Not too shabby! Can't wait! I may be swayed to pick one up. You can't beat $800.

Also, there is a news blip on the GF site about the new offering of 29er Rock Shox forks to Olympian athletes. Aren't we all olympian hopefuls/athletes? So, they should be making this available to all of us, correct? Hopefully it will be made available shortly. I want more choices. My Marz is doing fine, but not my WB's. The WB fork has blown up now twice. WB's is mystified by this occurrence. But, it has happened to several friends of mine as well now. We received our forks at about the same time. Bad batch maybe?!?!

At any rate, it is good to see a blip of the new Rig and the ne Rock Shox 29er fork. 2005 is going to be a good year. I just love new things.

There's a lengthy thread just below about the '05 RS Reba.

In terms of the WB's....which WB fork are you refering to? There's also lengthy threads about that just below, are you talking about CX-1's?
I dunno what you guys are doing to your WB, but I certainly haven't been easy on mine(CX-1), and its still ticking along just fine. Are you guys blowing cartridges or seals?
I was just...

...mainly posting a thread about what I had seen in Dirt Rag. Some people may not have seen it yet and I was just informing about the posted news of the Rig. And I was just stating my opinion about the fact that the Reba was only being offered to Olypmians. I could have spread it out and replied to the other thread, but I chose to just reply this way.

As far as the WB fork issue goes...I am sorry, but I didn't find the thread or didn't look to hard...my bad. At any rate, my WB's fork is the BW.8. Brand new fork and it will not hold air.

Still am excited about the new Rig
If your fork won't hold air (mine didn't either), take out the cartridge and apply a light (emphasis on light) coat of grease to the 'stantions' and around the seals. I did that to my fork and it hasn't leaked for 2 months now.

Back on the Reba thing....From what it looks like to me, Fisher IS going to be offering them exclusively to the retail and OE market this coming year. Kind of like the first year the Marz came out and he had the exclusive on those too.
Try fiddling with the valves (screw the cores in tighter). That worked on my CX-1, and on all types of other shocks, front and rear I've come accross the past year not holding air. I think some valve manufacturer is cutting corners.
