Hi All. Am back in New Zealand from Europe for a mere 5 days, so Momentus got the crew together and we headed down to Rotorua from Auckland for the day....

Weather was a mean winters day, even some snow flurries, hail, rain, sun, the whole shooting box.... A most enjoyable day though, had a blast, great to ride with the crew again, been away for 6 weeks and hadnt been on the bike for near 4 weeks... So was a great day...

for sure, great circuit of trails yesterday... Am down with Grandpa shuttle dude getting out of bed, despite the wet rain, as opposed to the dry rain......

Yep, that will go down as very memorable ride......

Would have to go down as the most memorable Rotorua rides. Given the weather and no crashes on the very slick roots... amazing...

The long drive down and back just makes you appreciate it more and more.

We need to get Spotz to buy (or bring) a good rain jacket next time. Made me feel cold just looking at him.

Well after a warm shower, lots of tucker and a good 8 hours sleep, reflection on this big bad Rotovegas ride feels somewhat surreal! How did so many delights come together in one day you may ask, location, company and commitment all come to mind - even the elements puts on a show you only see on a rare occasion......magnificent!

Big thanks to Fent for the lift and the Horsemen for making it - legs are a little tweaked today...

Nice photos Whafe, last time I rode Rotovegas was 3 months ago on a similar wet day (not as cold though!) Every time I see photos I need to get back there! (I live in Melbourne)

fresh tracks - I had only had one ride over the past 2 and a bit years too, it is not easy to forget how much fun RotoVegas is, a blast even when the weather is poo....

Will be down there again, want to take the SS next time....
