The BIG Decision

Im 16 now and have to make the choice between bike or car. It would either be the 05 GH Dh-i or a 1969 Corvette. The Vette would need some restoring but when i finish it, it will be about the same price as the GT...im stuck

Whats more important. If you have a job that is like 20 miles away get the car and save up for the bike. If you can ride your new bike to the job get the bike. If you dont even have a job get the bike because gas is prices are going up.
What bike do you currently have, year and model? If it's a desent bike i would go for the Vette to be honest, only if my current bike is in really good condition.
Oh mygoodness.... decisions decisions. What if you got the Vette and then got a hardtail too? Might slow down restoration of the vette a bit but would allow you to do both. You could probably easily get a used hardtail/dh bike for under $1k that's setup pretty sweet and then get the car. That's what I'd do. :D
Well i work at a bike shop thats about 15 min away so i would get the DHi at EP

A Used hadtail which isn't crap would be good, that way incase you don't have a bike you can have one for the mean time and have a vette
Thats what i was thinking, anyways a vette would be a pimp shuttle car

EastCoastBender: what picks up chicks, car or bike?lol
redbull: who the fvck cares
redbull: you have a hand

with chicks you can atleast burn more engergy and you wouldn't need any vissual or videos. Also if the vette is a one in a 100 thing and if the GTi you can get any time i would get the vette.

And considering most people get new dh bikes every year or two he coudl always get another one after he got some cash. Whereas the Vette is a lot more rare and one of those things that you'd probably keep for a lot longer especially if its a Vette of that calibre. :D
Im gonna go for the fastest car in the school parking lot, i have to compete with a posche and a pimped out civic

My vote is find a decent older car (Nova or the like), you can haul more, parts and insurance will be cheaper and you won't be quite the cop magnet. Or don't get a car at all - mtbrs w/o cars are usually better riders...
Oh, and you're going to have to put a lot of $$ into the Vette to beat a 550hp civic (if those hp #'s aren't complete BS) anyway.
Get a pickup dude, imigine how retarded youd look haulin a bike on a corvette lol jk. dont get a sweet car for your first vehicle, get a beater.
nah dude that would be pimpshlt if he put a bike rack on that...i would so get the car first...but then again im a speedfreak and 160 is much more crazy than 30
i'd probably get the bike. the car is going to cost you more in the long run

get a car later, they really suck up your cash (insurance, gas, repairs, general maintenance, etc....)

and yeah bikes cost $ too, but presumably less than the cost of maintaining a car
im a speed freak too and the civic numbers aren't made up, we tested it in auto shop. Im just thinking that the vette will be something i can have for the rest of my life and give to my kids depending on how it still runs as a bike will only last me a few years
