I'm planning to upgrade my 5th element for something more lively. My riding is mainly downhill oriented, so no platform necessary. What would you...... yes you, rocommend?

If you don't need a platform, I would consider a PUSH'd Fox Van R.

I've got a pushed vanilla RC on mine and it's smooooooooove.

Much more plush than a stock van RC and certainly more compliant than the swinger I had on there.

You obviously didn't read what he put - he doesn't need a platform.

The DHX 5 isnt great anyway.

The Push Van R is a strong cotender. They're quite reasonably priced and easy to get hold to. I've also looked at Marzocchi Roco, they are quite cheap here in europe. I haven't tested either one of them....

I have Marzocchi Roco RC. It works very well. I like it more than the original 5th element.
Keeps the rear wheel glued to the ground.

How does a Push'd DHX rate?

I'm looking at either pushing my current DHX 5.0 or getting a Rocco. Needless to say, Pushing the DHX will be cheaper.

I haven't tried a Rocco but I would pick a Push'd DHX over an Avalanche and CCDB anytime.

I havent tried a new Cane Creek Double Barrel but I have read many reviews about it and it is also made by Ohlins which is amazing... Thats what I am goign to eventually but...
